A construction worker fell 30 feet from the 4th floor of a construction site in the Wakefield section of The Bronx and has been hospitalized, according to NYC Department of Buildings (DOB). Williamsbridge: Car Overturns & Bursts into Flames on Bronx River Parkway

Bedford Park: FDNY Says Afternoon Fire Results in No Injuries

A 2-alarm fire in the Bedford Park section of The Bronx on Thursday resulted in no injuries, FDNY officials said.   The blaze broke out on the 1st floor of a residential building at 5 Minerva Place by Jerome Avenue and Creston Avenue, FDNY officials said, adding that they were alerted to the incident at 1.25 p.m. on Thursday, May 25. An FDNY spokesperson said 25 units, comprising 106 firefighters responded to the scene at the 6-story building and the blaze was placed under control at 2.54 p.m. The spokesperson added that the cause of the fire is under investigation.
