Bedford Park: 74-Year-Old Female Pedestrian in Critical Condition following Two-Vehicle Collision

A 74-year-old female pedestrian is in critical condition after being hit by a car in Bedford Park on Thursday, police said.   Police said the accident took place at 9.31 a.m. at Bainbridge Avenue and East Mosholu Parkway South.   Police said a 46-year-old man was driving a Honda CRV westbound on Bainbridge when it was struck by a 2006 Toyota Corolla traveling southbound on East Mosholu Parkway South. “Subsequently, the Honda struck a 74-year-old pedestrian [who] was crossing at that intersection,” a police spokeswoman said, adding that the pedestrian sustained severe trauma to the body and was transported to

Norwood: Two Injured in Motorcycle/Car Collision

A 23-year-old motorcycle driver remains in serious condition and his 23-year-old female passenger was in stable condition after an early morning collision at Jerome Avenue and Bainbridge Avenue in Norwood.   Police say the crash took place at 7:17 a.m. on Monday, June 26, after a 31-year-old man driving a 2003 Toyota attempted to make a U-turn and collided with the motorcycle which was traveling southbound at the time. FDNY: Stove Fire at Tracey Towers Results in No Injuries

  A fire at Tracey Towers housing complex, located on the Norwood-Bedford Park border, on Saturday resulted in no injuries the FDNY said. An FDNY spokesperson said the department was alerted to reports of a fire at the 871-unit complex, located at 40 West Mosholu Parkway South, at around 5.10 p.m. on Saturday, June 24.
