Bronx Playwright Michi Barall to Premiere “Drawing Lessons”

Bronx playwright Michi Barall is bringing her play Drawing Lessons center stage, where she examines the challenges that youth face from the perspective of a young graphic artist. The play will run from Oct. 8 through Nov. 10 on The Children’s Theatre Company Cargill Stage in Minneapolis. Opening night took place on Oct. 12.

NY Lottery: Top Prize-Winning Ticket Sold in Mott Haven

The New York Lottery announced on Nov. 7 one top-prize winning ticket was sold for the Nov 6 TAKE 5 evening drawing. They said the  prize-winning ticket, worth $32,714.50, was sold at NYC St. Ann’s Wine & Liquors, located at 210 St. Ann’s Avenue in the Mott Haven section of The Bronx. 

Bronx Music Hall Holds Grand Opening

The Bronx Music Hall (BMH) hosted its grand opening on Oct. 18, marking the first newly constructed independent music performance venue in The Bronx in over 50 years, according to officials.

NY Lottery: Two Top Prize-Winning Tickets Sold in The Bronx

The New York Lottery announced on Oct. 23 that multiple top-prize winning tickets were sold for the Oct 22 Take 5 midday drawing. The tickets were sold at Prayosha Pharmacy Corp, located at 54 East 183rd Street in The Bronx, which sold one prize-winning ticket worth $5,856, and at Brentwood Pharmacy located at 761 Suffolk Avenue in Brentwood, which sold two prize-winning tickets worth $5,856 each. 

Over 4,000 Cyclists Participate in the 30th Annual Tour de Bronx

Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson, in partnership with The Bronx Tourism Council, New York Yankees, Montefiore Einstein, Cricket Wireless, MetroPlus Health, Tronex Health, The New York Botanical Garden, and other event sponsors, joined over 4,000 cyclists for the 30th Annual Tour de Bronx, which kicked off at 161st Street and the Grand Concourse next to Joyce Kilmer Park on Sunday, Oct. 6.
