NY Lottery: Top Prize-Winning Tickets Sold in The Bronx

The New York Lottery announced on Saturday, May 18, a top-prize winning ticket was sold in The Bronx for the May 17 TAKE 5 evening drawing. The ticket was sold at Middletown Deli & Convenience store, located at 2959 Middletown Road in the Pelham Bay section of The Bronx, which sold one prize-winning ticket worth $38,822.

South Bronx: Gibson Delivers 2nd State of the Borough Address at Cardinal Hayes High School

Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson delivered her 2nd Annual State of the Borough Address at Cardinal Hayes High School in the auditorium named after Bronx legend and Bronx Walk of Fame inductee Regis Philbin, on April 18, 2024. The borough president outlined major accomplishments that include an investment of over $35 million in education and over $8.9 million in capital allocations to public and private health facilities. 

Formerly Incarcerated Bronx Singer Releases Album

The Bronx R&B and Soul singer, who goes by the name, Ms. Seeley, whose legal name is Valerie Seeley, released a captivating and impactful, five-track EP called “SIGS On Seeley St.” on March 19. The album details the artist’s complex life journey, diving into various topics like surviving domestic violence, her 19-year prison sentence, the death of her 26-year-old son, and womanhood.
