Bronx Man Gets 20 Years for Fatally Stabbing Wife in front of Children in October 2019

Bronx District Attorney (DA) Darcel D. Clark announced that a Bronx man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison, plus five years post-release supervision, for stabbing his wife to death inside a Bronx homeless shelter in 2019.   In reference to the case, Clark said, “The defendant stabbed his wife in front of their children. Male Pedestrian Struck by Car Dies in Bronx River Parkway Road Collision

A man has died following a road accident on Bronx River Parkway, police said.   An NYPD spokesperson said the incident occurred on Wednesday, Nov. 2, at around 10.24 p.m. when officers from the 52nd precinct responded to a 911 call regarding a motor vehicle collision. UPDATE Unionport: Tragic Fatal Fire Claims the Lives of Four People, including Two Children & One Infant

A fatal fire in the Unionport section of the southeast Bronx has claimed the lives of four people, including three children, police said.   An NYPD spokesperson said the department was advised of the incident on Sunday, Oct. 30, at around 6.03 a.m. Officers from the 43rd Precinct responded to a call regarding a residential fire inside 2165 Quimby Avenue. They said FDNY personnel were at the scene, and extinguished the fire. They recovered a total of six aided individuals from inside the location. Late Lehman College Faculty Member, David Carroll Fletcher, is Fondly Remembered

Representatives of Lehman College said they are deeply saddened to announce the passing of David Carroll Fletcher, a longtime faculty member in the college’s school of education. They said Fletcher was part of the Lehman family for over two decades and served as an assistant professor in the Department of Middle and High School Education. Bedford Park: Two Sought following Early Morning Robbery at Knifepoint
