Gillibrand Condemns Rape & Sexual Violence by Hamas Against Israelis, Calls Out UN Women for Silence
U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand delivered remarks at a special session convened by Israel’s Permanent Mission to the U.N. on Monday, Dec. 4. At the session, Gillibrand and other women’s rights experts denounced the use of rape and sexual violence committed by Hamas terrorists against Israeli women and girls. UPDATE Edenwald Man Shot Dead by Police after Apparent Multiple Stabbing of Family Members in Queens Home
Five family members have died, including one deceased perpetrator who police say is from the Edenwald section of The Bronx and is a cousin to some of the family members, following a multiple stabbing incident, residential fire, and police shooting in the Far Rockaway section of Queens in the early hours of Sunday morning, Dec. 3. Two police officers and another family member were also injured in the incident.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams convened a meeting on Monday, Nov. 13, with Jewish, Muslim, and Christian faith and community leaders in the wake of a recent spike in hate crimes across both the Jewish and Muslim communities since Oct. 7, when Hamas launched a terrorist attack on Israeli civilians, kidnapping around 240 others, and Israel launched a subsequent counteroffensive on Gaza.
