Belmont: Man Sought following Fatal Shooting of Second 30-Year-Old Man

The NYPD has launched a murder investigation into the death of a 30-year-old man following a shooting in Belmont on Wednesday, May 8. They are asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached video and photos who they say is sought for questioning in connection with the incident. 

Norwood: Woman Assaulted, Robbed inside Car on Hull Avenue

A woman was assaulted and robbed of a very large amount of cash while she was seated inside her car with a friend in Norwood on Monday afternoon, May 6, police saild. A 41-year-old woman was later arrested in connection with the incident.

According to Dinowitz, the bill addresses a concern that individuals hide their identities during public gatherings, evading accountability for their actions. He said the proposed legislation specifies exemptions for wearing personal protective equipment during declared public health emergencies, and attire worn for religious observance or customs.

Manhattan College Holds Town Hall to Push for Closure of “Voluntary Intoxication Exclusion”

Lawmakers and activists gathered together with students and other groups at Manhattan College on April 11 for a town hall to discuss longstanding pending legislation aimed at protecting rape victims who may be voluntarily intoxicated at the time of the rape. The law aims to close a legal loophole in State law that currently helps protect those accused of rape from prosecution in situations where the victim is voluntarily intoxicated.
