Yonkers Woman & NYC Employee Charged with Stealing $275,000 from Former Disabled Coworker
Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced Thursday, Feb. 13, that a Yonkers woman has been charged with stealing at least $275,000 from a 78-year-old Bronx man who was debilitated by strokes and other profound health issues. She said the defendant allegedly possessed forged documents that enabled her to access the victim’s bank account and withdraw a thousand dollars a day for about a year.

Newly confirmed U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi announced on Wednesday evening, Feb. 12, that federal authorities have filed a lawsuit against New York State, NY Gov. Kathy Hochul, New York Attorney General Letitia James and NYS Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Commissioner Mark Schroeder over its “Sanctuary City” status and “Green Light” law amid reports of tip-offs being given to undocumented immigrants of the ongoing federal raids being carried out by U.S. Department of Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) and other federal agencies across New York State in recent weeks.
