As someone who has spent many an hour, day, and literally years advocating for the Norwood / Bronx LGBTQIA+ community to finally be represented locally, witnessing a group of people film themselves commit a hate crime by destroying the rainbow balloons and decor which decorated a nationally registered historic place, the Williamsbridge Oval during the inaugural Norwood Pride festival this past June 23 was heartbreaking.

Bronx Neighbors for Palestine held a “Make Art to Let Gaza Live” event in the Williamsbridge Oval in Norwood, by the Reservoir Oval West entrance, on Sunday afternoon, June 9. The event was organized in efforts to raise awareness about the plight of everyday Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank amid the ongoing war with Israel.

Police Appeal for Help Identifying Man Sought in Groping Incident Aboard BX12 Bus

The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance identifying and locating the person seen in the attached photo who they say is sought in connection with a groping incident aboard a moving MTA bus in the confines of the 52nd Precinct which covers some or all of Bedford Park, Fordham, Kingsbridge, Norwood, Bronx Park, and University Heights.
