Mayor Appoints Marjorie Velázquez to Tenant Protection Role

Embattled New York City Mayor Eric Adams last month announced 17 new appointments and promotions within City government to fill various vacancies. The appointments come as the City Hall exodus continues, and amid a federal bribery probe into the mayor’s 2021 election campaign that continues to cast a shadow over his administration. The mayor denies any wrongdoing and his case is ongoing.

City Chooses Long Island Developer for Two-Phase, Mixed-Use Development of Kingsbridge Armory

The latest two-phase, mixed-use plan for the long-vacant Kingsbridge Armory was unveiled by City and State officials on Tuesday, Jan. 7. City and elected officials said, “Phase One of the project envisions a vibrant, mixed-use development with a state-of-the-art event venue space, sports fields for local youth academies, cultural and commercial space, over 25,000 square-feet of dedicated community space, an educational facility focused on workforce development, and more.”
