Fordham Manor: New Chick-Fil-A Restaurant Opens on East Fordham Road

A new Chick-fil-A restaurant on East Fordham Road has begun serving the Bronx community, having held opened on Thursday, April 11. Chick-fil-A, Inc. representatives said it has selected Roberto Ruiz as the independent, franchised, local owner-operator of the new restaurant.

Kingsbridge: Man Sought in Identified Burglary Pattern

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached media who they say is wanted in connection to a burglary pattern that has been identified across the boundaries of the 50th Precinct, which covers some or all of the neighborhoods of Riverdale, Fieldston, Kingsbridge, Marble Hill, and Spuyten Duyvil.

Grace Rosa Baez, a former Bronx NYPD police officer, pled guilty in Manhattan federal court on Tuesday, April 16, to conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute heroin, fentanyl, and para-fluorofentanyl, before U.S. District Judge Denise L. Cote, federal prosecutors said.

Claremont: Bronx Man Sentenced to 20 Years in Prison for Killing Two Men in Retaliatory Shooting

Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced on Tuesday, April 16, that a Bronx man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for fatally shooting two men and wounding another inside a building hallway in Claremont, in retaliation for the killing of his uncle in the summer of 2020.
