Bronx Man Charged in Dog’s Death; Allegedly Slammed Animal’s Head on Table, Killing Him Instantly

Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced on April 13 that a Bronx man was charged with aggravated cruelty to animals for allegedly killing a 7-year-old Pomeranian dog during an argument with his ex-girlfriend.   In the context of the announcement, Clark said, “This was a spectacularly brutal act of animal abuse.   Police said two people have been arrested in the case of the non-fatal shooting of two teenagers in University Heights in April. Fire department officials said one elderly female resident was hospitalized following an “all hands” fire at 2364 Tiebout Avenue in Fordham Heights on Tuesday, March 28.
