Building applications have been filed with NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) to expand the 3-story structure located at 2400 Bronx Park East in the Bronxwood neighborhood of The Bronx into a into a four-story residential building, as reported by YIMBY.

Located near the intersection of Bronx Park East and Waring Avenue, the lot is near the Allerton Avenue subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Gil Broitman is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 50-foot-tall development will yield 9,751 square feet designated for residential space, according to YIMBY. The building will yield 11 residential units, most likely rentals, based on the average unit scope of 886 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a cellar, penthouse, and three enclosed parking spaces.

Bayside Engineering is listed as the architect of record. Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date of the extension has not been announced.
