Creflo Dollar, the prosperity gospel espousing leader of World Changer International Church, is leasing out the Paradise Theater on the Grand Concourse, which recently suffered damage in a fire, the Bronx Times reports. Dollar also pursued the Kingsbridge Armory to house the church’s 6,000 New York members.

Illuminating story in the NY Times about the NYPD’s weapons training program in light of several high-profile officer-involved shootings, including two young men in the Bronx this year.

A 15-year-old Bronx boy was shot earlier today near Bronx Regional High School, the Daily News reports.

A fire yesterday on Intervale Avenue left four people critically injured, the Wall Street Journal reports.

Dominique Strauss-Khan, the former head of the International Monetary Fund, and the Bronx woman who accused him of sexual assault at the Manhattan hotel where she worked, have settled their civil case, a judge said earlier today, the Times reports.
