Federal authorities say that five people convicted in the 1995 murder of a cab driver in the Bronx are actually innocent, the Times is reporting.

The Kelly Street Restoration development group is looking for someone to open a fresh food enterprise in Longwood — and the selected applicant will get a lot of perks, including a rent-free apartment. [Daily News]

Sources tell NY1 that the NYPD conducted 134,000 stop-and-frisks from April 1 to June 30, a 34% decrease from the first quarter this year.

A Bronx minister helped transit cops nab a doctor who allegedly filmed up women’s skirts on the subway. [NY Post]

Authorities upped the reward money for infomation leading to an arrest and conviction in the murder teenager Kemar Brooks, who was shot in a Baychester park last week. [NY1]

The New York Yankees announced on Facebook yesterday that All-Star shortstop Derek Jeter would miss the rest of the season due to sexual reassignment surgery and he “promises to come back stronger than ever in 2013 as Minnie Mantlez.” Not to worry though, the Yankees’ social media account was one of several that were hacked yesterday by a rogue MLB employee.
