Bronx CB 7 District Manager Ischia Bravo, Jacqueline Acevedo-Villanueva from MAS Production, Shanequa Charles, Executive Director at Miss Abbie’s Kids Inc. and other volunteers spent the afternoon handing out goodie bags at the event which kicked off at 2:00 p.m.

Acevedo-Villanueva, who was born and raised in the Bronx, donated the care packages at that time on behalf of her company, Mary Kay, as a thank you gesture to NCB nurses, and to all who she described as “the heroes on the front lines”.

During the event, Victoria Ruiz told Shanequa Charles how she loved her hair, before Charles returned the compliment, admiring Ruiz’s green hair. They both laughed before Mom, Sylvia Casares jumped in for a photo.

Supplies of masks and hand sanitizers are needed even more than before since the City began Phase I of its reopening plan last Monday, Jun. 8, 2020, after being shut down since mid March due to the coronavirus pandemic.

There were about 20 people in line just after 2 p.m. when the event kicked off, and most went away very happy to have received the bag of goodies.
