The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) has advised of the following street and bridge closures in the Bronx from April 1 to June 29.
East 136th Street between Brown Place and Brook Avenue: This street will be closed Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. through April 10 to facilitate crane operation.
East 144th Street between Gerard Avenue and Exterior Street: This street will be closed Sundays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. through April 6 to facilitate crane operation.
East 146th Street between Gerard Avenue and Exterior Street/River Avenue (M.D.E.): This street will be closed Sundays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. through April 6 to facilitate crane operation.
East 146th Street between Gerard Avenue and Walton Avenue: This street will be closed Sundays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. through April 6 to facilitate crane operation.
East 216th Street between White Plains Road and Barnes Avenue: This street will be closed Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. through April 11 to facilitate crane operation.
Bruckner Boulevard between 3 Avenue and Lincoln Avenue: This street will be closed Fridays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. through June 29 to facilitate crane operation.
Gerard Avenue between East 144th Street and East 149th Street: This street will be closed from 7 a.m. Saturday to 8 p.m. Sunday through April 3 for associated closure for the crawler dismantle.
Marble Hill Avenue between West 225th Street and Fort Charles Place: This street will be closed Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. through April 10 to facilitate crane operation.
As reported, there are also some changes to traffic flows on Throggs Neck Bridge, while deck replacement work is being carried out.
