Meanwhile, the FDNY also reported on Twitter that a fire was also reported at a commercial location at 446 East 181st Street, also in Belmont, also on Sunday, Jan. 16, at 10.30 a.m. The location is very close to the building reported in relation to the Park Avenue fire and at this time, it is unclear if the two fires are related or if in fact, they are the same fire.

East 181st Street is the street on which last Sunday’s tragic Fordham Heights fire claimed the lives of 17 people. Norwood News has reached out to the FDNY for more information.

On Monday, Jan. 17, the FDNY confirmed that units responded to 2747 Bronxwood Avenue in the Bronx, at 00:48 a.m. regarding a report of fire on the first floor of a two-story, private dwelling.
