The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached photos regarding a non-fatal shooting that occurred in Belmont, located in the 48th Precinct.
Police said on Thursday, June 23, at around 10.03 a.m. in front of 2332 Belmont Avenue, a 26-year-old male victim was standing by a fire hydrant when an unknown individual approached him.
Police said the individual “displayed a firearm and shot him multiple times in the body before fleeing southbound on Belmont Avenue. The individual was last seen getting into a dark-colored, four-door, Infinity sedan at the corner of Hughes Avenue and East 183[rd] Street, heading to parts unknown.”
The victim sustained six gunshot wounds to his body, according to police officials. “EMS also responded to the scene and transported the victim to Saint Barnabas Hospital where he is listed in stable condition,” an NYPD spokesperson said.
The suspect is described as male, has a medium build, a dark complexion and was last seen wearing a black ski mask, black pants, black sneakers, and a black, hooded sweatshirt.
