Belmont: Housing Lottery Launches for Units at 2150 Clinton Avenue

NYC Department of Housing, Preservation & Development (HPD) have launched a housing lottery for units at 2150 Clinton Avenue, a 5-story, residential building in Belmont, as reported by YIMBY. Designed by Boaz M. Golani Architect and developed by Skyrock NYC Development, the structure yields 36 residential units.

 

Available on NYC Housing Connect, HPD’s online portal, are 19 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $98,915 to $198,250.

 

Amenities include pet-friendly policies, a shared laundry room, and an elevator according to HPD, and units come equipped with air conditioning, energy-efficient appliances, intercoms, high-speed internet, and name-brand kitchen appliances, countertops, and finishes. Tenants are responsible for electricity which includes stove and heat.

 

At 130 percent of the AMI, there are five studios available with a monthly rent of $2,885 for those earning incomes ranging from $98,915 to $146,900; one one-bedroom unit with a monthly rent of $3,080 for those on incomes ranging from $105,600 to $165,230; and 13 two-bedroom units with a monthly rent of $3,669 for residents with incomes ranging from $125,795 to $198,250.

 

Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for the apartments according to HPD, and applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than Oct. 20, 2023.

 

To request an application by mail, send a self-addressed envelop to 2150 Clinton Avenue Apartments, c/o Reside New York, 349 Keap Street, Brooklyn, NY 11211. Applicants should only send one application per development.

 

The building is anticipated to receive a tax exemption through HPD’s 421a tax incentive program. No deposits or application fees apply. More information is available here.
