Belmont: 30-Year-Old Shot Dead (in head) over Restroom Line Dispute

 

 

The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance locating the man seen in the attached photo and video who is sought in connection with a murder that occurred in the 48th precinct.

 

It was reported to police that on Sunday, May 9, at approximately 3.48 a.m., inside a bar/nightclub located at 4555 Third Avenue in the Belmont section of The Bronx, a 30-year-old man became embroiled in a dispute with the unidentified suspect over whose turn it was to use the restroom.

 

The dispute escalated shortly thereafter when the suspect produced a handgun and shot the victim once in the head. He then fled the location. EMS responded and transported the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital where on Tuesday, May 11, he was pronounced deceased.

The deceased has been identified as Shamar Watt, 30, of Barnes Avenue in the Wakefield section of The Bronx.
