As officers from the 52nd precinct arrived, the source said, “A 35-year-old man was found with a stab wound to the chest and he was pronounced at St. Barnabas Hospital.”

The police source added that a 39-year-old woman “was taken into custody at the scene” and she was being questioned at the Webster Avenue station house.

One unidentified witness at the scene said, “I came outside and looked at the stairs there, and she dragged him out from the gate, and she dropped him where all the blood is.”

The witness added, “The ambulance came and tried to help him, but to me, the way he looked; he was already gone. He was foaming from the mouth and no chest movement or anything.”

Police later confirmed that the deceased has been identified as Rider Ferreras, 35, of 2837 Valentine Avenue, Bronx, NY.

Police also later confirmed that Marianela Valdez De Gonzalez, 39, of 2837 Valentine Avenue, The Bronx, NY, who was arrested in connection to the incident, has been charged with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon. They also confirmed that Valdez De Gonzalez is the person identified as having been arrested at the scene of the crime.

In an apparently unrelated incident, police are still looking for the killer of Kossuth Avenue resident, Marvin Duchenne, 29, who was stabbed in the chest at the corner of East Gun Hill Road and Jerome Avenue. That incident was reported at 8 p.m. on Friday, October 9, as reported by Norwood News.
