The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached video who they say is wanted in connection to a robbery that occurred in Bedford Park.
Police said that on Sunday, July 14, at around 6.20 p.m., an unidentified woman was inside a gift and flower store located at 243 East 198th Street and attempted to conceal several items inside a shopping cart before attempting to leave the store without paying.
They said that when a 46-year-old male employee confronted her, she began striking him in the head with the merchandise and struck him in the back with an unknown sharp object. “The individual then fled to parts unknown,” a police spokesperson said. “The victim refused medical attention at the scene.”
