An out-of-control driver struck and killed Sook-Ja Kim, a 63-year-old Bedford Park resident, as she was walking on Mosholu Parkway Sunday afternoon, according to police.
After some investigation, police reported that Kim was struck by a 1997 Honda driven by a 22-year-old man. There were no arrests or summonses issued yesterday and, according to the NY Post which spoke with an eye witness, the driver may have suffered a seizure that led to him driving off the road and into Kim. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
When police arrived on the scene at about 3:45 p.m., Kim was unconscious and unresponsive. She was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital and pronounced dead on arrival.
Kim lived on East Bedford Park Boulevard, according to a police report.
