Bedford Park: Two Sought for Robbery and Assault of 61-Year-Old Man

The New York City Police Department is appealing to the public for help identifying the people seen in the attached photo who they say are sought for questioning in connection to an assault and robbery that occurred in Bedford Park.

Police said that on Tuesday, Jan. 2, at around 7.56 a.m., in the vicinity of Villa Avenue and East 204th Street, a 61-year-old male victim approached two people who were attempting to remove items from his vehicle, They said the two, acting in concert, displayed a firearm and struck the victim about the body with their fists.

 

“Then, the individuals proceeded to remove victim’s wallet from his person before fleeing on foot to parts unknown,” a police spokesperson said. “The 61-year-old male sustained minor injuries and refused medical attention on scene.”

 

Police said the first suspect is described as male and has a medium complexion and medium build. They said he was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants, black sneakers, and a black face mask.

 

They said the second suspect is also described as male, and also has a medium complexion and medium build. They said he was last seen wearing a blue jacket, blue jeans, and gray sneakers.
