The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the two individuals seen in the attached photo and video who are sought in connection with an assault that occurred in Bedford Park.
On Sunday, Jan. 9, at approximately 5.33 a.m., in front of 239 East 198th Street, a 28-year-old female victim was approached by two unknown men. One of the individuals displayed a sharp object and stabbed the victim multiple times to the back and torso while the second punched and kicked her. The suspects later fled on foot, eastbound, on East 198th Street. EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to Saint Barnabas Hospital in stable condition.
The first assailant is described as a male with a light complexion who was last seen wearing a dark-colored, hooded sweatshirt, a white shirt, dark-colored pants, and white, Adidas sneakers.
The second assailant is described as a male with a light complexion who was last seen wearing a dark-colored, plaid shirt, dark-colored pants, and light-colored shoes.
On Saturday, Jan. 15, pursuant to an ongoing investigation, NYPD detectives released an additional photograph of the two individuals sought in connection with this incident. The photo is attached.
