Bedford Park: Police Search for Man Who Robbed 14-Year-Old Girl at Gunpoint

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached video and photo who they say is wanted in connection to an armed robbery that occurred in Bedford Park.

 

Police said that on Wednesday, Sept. 11, at around 7.06 a.m., a 14-year-old female victim was in front of 213 East 198th Street, when an unidentified person approached her from behind and snatched her necklace. They said that when the victim turned around, the suspect displayed a gun and the victim dropped her cellphone.

 

They said the suspect took the cellphone and fled the location on foot, traveling northbound on Valentine Avenue. Police said the stolen items are valued at around $2,600, and there were no injuries reported finally.

 

They said the suspect is described as male, has a medium complexion, and is around 27 to 33 years old and was seen wearing all black clothing.
