Bedford Park: Police Appeal to Identify Robbery Suspect

The New York City Police Department is asking the public’s assistance identifying the individual shown in the attached surveillance video who is wanted for questioning in connection to a robbery that occurred within the confines of the 52nd precinct.

 

On Sunday, June 7, 2020 at 7:40 a.m., in front of 246 East 199th Street, an 80-year-old male victim was walking when an unidentified individual approached him from behind and attempted to forcibly remove his backpack. The victim resisted and fell to the ground. The male dragged the victim until he released the backpack and fled eastbound on 199th Street with the victim’s personal items. The victim sustained a minor laceration to his right knee but refused medical attention.
