Bedford Park: Man Sought in Slashing of Food Vendor

The NYPD is appealing to the public for help, identifying and locating the person seen in the attached photos who they say is sought in connection with an assault that occurred in the Bedford Park section of The Bronx.

Police said that on Sunday, Aug. 6, at around 3.55 a.m., the victim, a 32-year-old male food vendor, was operating his business at the intersection of Jerome Avenue and East Bedford Park Boulevard when he got into a verbal dispute with the individual and it escalated into a physical altercation.

 

Police said the person sought slashed the victim numerous times in the arms and back and was last seen fleeing northbound on Jerome Avenue in a dark colored vehicle. They said the victim was removed to St. Barnabas Hospital by EMS in stable condition.

 

The suspect is described as male, is around 6 feet tall, has a dark complexion, a medium build, and was last seen wearing a black hat, a dark colored, hooded sweatshirt, dark colored pants, and black sneakers.
