Bedford Park: Man, 40, Arrested on Murder Charges following Stabbing of 45-Year-Old Woman

ON TUESDAY, JULY 5, at around 2.34 p.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding an aided female inside 2860 Grand Concourse in Bedford Park, located in the 52nd Precinct. A 45-year-old woman was found dead. She had been stabbed.

A 40-year-old man has been arrested following the stabbing of a 45-year-old woman in Bedford Park.

 

On Tuesday, July 5, at around 2.34 p.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding an aided female inside 2860 Grand Concourse in Bedford Park, located in the 52nd Precinct.

 

Upon arrival, officers observed a 45-year-old woman with a stab wound to her chest, laying on a bed. EMS responded and pronounced the woman deceased at the scene. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the exact cause of death.

 

On Wednesday, July 6, the incident was classified as a murder and the deceased was identified as  Ana Amadiz-Pena, 45, of 2860 Grand Concourse.

 

Police said that pursuant to an ongoing investigation, Raul Jose Santos, 40, of Morris Avenue in the Fordham Manor section of The Bronx, was arrested on Tuesday, July 5, at 6.54 p.m., in the confines of the 52nd Precinct.

 

Santos was charged with murder, manslaughter, and criminal possession of a weapon. A person arrested and charged with a crime is deemed innocent unless and until convicted in a court of law.
