A fire in Bedford Park which broke out in a multiple dwelling on Sunday evening has been brought under control, FDNY officials confirmed.
The FDNY later confirmed to Norwood News that the department was alerted to the incident at 7.09 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 20 and that it had been reported at 2777 Webster Avenue. It was classified as a 2-alarm incident, with 25 units, comprising 106 firefighters responding to the call.
Fire officials said the fire was on the top floor of a 3-story, multiple dwelling. Images from the Citizen’s App showed visible signs of flames and smoke coming out of the building.

FDNY officials said the incident was brought under control at 8.16 p.m. Two firefighters suffered minor injuries and were transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/North Central Bronx.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
