Police have arrested a 41-year-old man had been sought for questioning in relation to a burglary that occurred in Bedford Park in the 52nd precinct, in October. He has been charged with robbery, burglary, and a number of other additional charges.
As reported, on Wednesday, Oct. 20, at approximately 9.40 p.m., at a residence in the vicinity of East 204th Street and Grand Concourse, a man gained entry into a 22-year-old woman’s home through an open front door.
He displayed a firearm and demanded money from the victim. He managed to successfully remove jewelry, valued at approximately $2,200 and $500 in cash, before fleeing the location on foot southbound on Grand Concourse. No physical injuries were reported following the incident.
The suspect was described as a light-skinned male, who was around 30 to 35 years of age, had brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a NY Yankees baseball hat, a gray, hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, and white sneakers.
On Wednesday, Dec. 15, pursuant to the ongoing investigation, police confirmed that Jacob Carrasquillo, 41, of 127 West 25 Street in Manhattan, was arrested and charged with robbery, burglary, grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, petit larceny, acting in a manner injurious to child, and criminal possession of a weapon.
