Baychester: 92-Year-Old Man Punched in the Face & Knocked to the Ground

The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance identifying the individual seen in the attached photographs and video who is sought in connection with an assault that occurred in Baychester, in the 47th precinct.

It was reported to police that on Saturday, Dec. 4, at around noon, a 92-year-old male victim was walking in front of 2708 Gunther Avenue in Baychester, when the unidentified male approached the victim and punched him in the face, knocking him to the ground and causing pain and swelling to his nose.

The assailant fled on foot towards 140 Bellamy Loop in the Co-Op City section of the Bronx. The victim was removed to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Yonkers in stable condition.

 

The assailant is described as a male with a light-skinned complexion, is believed to be in his 40s, of a medium build and was last seen wearing a black hoodie, a black and gray, two-tone bubble vest, black pants and white sneakers. Surveillance photos and video of the alleged assailant are attached.
