The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the two people seen in the attached photo who they say are wanted for questioning in connection with a robbery that occurred in the Allerton section of The Bronx, south of the Parkside Housing Project.
Police said that on Sunday, Nov. 5, at around 6.54 a.m., the victim, a 29-year-old man, was walking in the vicinity of Olinville Avenue and Britton Street when he was approached by two unknown people. “Acting in concert, the individuals struck the victim in the head with a beer bottle and forcibly removed $2,000 from the victim,” a police spokesperson said.
Police said the assailants were last seen fleeing in a sedan [photo attached] which was last seen traveling northbound on Olinville Avenue. They said the victim was removed by EMS to NYC Health and Hospitals/ Jacobi in stable condition.
Police said the first assailant is described as male, has a dark complexion, and a medium build. They said he was last seen wearing a red, hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and black and white sneakers.
Police said the second assailant is also described as male, has a light complexion, a heavy build and a beard. They said he was last seen wearing a multicolored hat, a light-green jacket, light-blue jeans, and black sneakers. They said the vehicle used during the robbery is described as a gold, four-door Cadillac sedan.
As of Nov. 12, robberies are down, citywide, by 5.4% compared to last year. They are also down by 5.2% in The Bronx compared to last year as of Nov. 12. In the 49th Precinct, which covers the neighborhoods of Allerton [where the incident occurred], Morris Park, Van Nest, Pelham Parkway, Eastchester Gardens, and Pelham Gardens, robberies are up 8.2% compared to last year as of the same date.
