Allerton: Man Sought following Assault on MTA Employee aboard BX12 Bus

POLICE SAID THIS man is sought in connection to an assault on an MTA employee that occurred on an MTA bus at Williamsbridge Road and Pelham Parkway in the Allerton section of The Bronx on Monday, May, 8, 2023.

The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance identifying the person seen in the attached photo who is sought in connection with an assault that occurred in Allerton.

 

Police said that on Monday, May 8, at around 3.35 p.m. a person got into a dispute with a 42-year-old, on-duty MTA employee, on a BX12 bus in the vicinity of Williamsbridge Road and Pelham Parkway. They said the person allegedly pushed the victim into the fare box and front partition of the bus. He then exited the bus and fled southbound on Esplanade Avenue, police said.

 

“The victim was transported by EMS to an area hospital to be treated for pain to her body,” a police spokesperson said. “The sought individual is described as a male, light complexion, facial hair, last seen wearing a yellow shirt, red shorts and a baseball cap,” the spokesperson added.
