Allerton: 56-Year-Old Man Stabbed to Death

On Monday, Dec. 28, 2020, at around 8.39 p.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a man who had been stabbed at 2802 Olinville Avenue, in Allerton section of the Bronx, in the 49th precinct. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 56-year-old man, unconscious and unresponsive, with a stab wound to the chest. The aided man was transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi where he was pronounced deceased.

 

There were initially no arrests, and the investigation was ongoing. The deceased was later identified as David Pabon, 56, of Arnow Avenue in the Bronx.

 

On Jan. 8, 2021, pursuant to an ongoing investigation, Orbin Cato, 54, of Burke Avenue in the Bronx was arrested and charged with murder.

 

An arrest does not mean a person is guilty of a crime.
