Fordham Manor: Two Sought for Non-Fatal Shooting of 52-Year-Old Man and 26-Year-Old Man

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help locating and identifying the two people seen in the attached photos and video who they say are sought for questioning in connection with an assault/non-fatal shooting that occurred in Fordham Manor.

 

Police said that on Wednesday, April 9, at around 4.50 p.m. in the vicinity of East Fordham Road and the Grand Concourse, a 26-year-old man and a 52-year-old man were approached by two people on a motorized scooter. Police said they fired shots, striking the 26-year-old man in the right ankle and the 52-year-old man in the back.

They said both victims were transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/North Central Bronx and St. Barnabas Hospital, respectively, in stable condition. “The unidentified individuals fled the location on the motorized scooter traveling on East Fordham Road towards Webster Avenue,” a police spokesperson said.

 

Police said the first suspect is described as male, has a light complexion, is around 5 feet, 6 inches tall, and was last seen wearing a baseball cap, a green sweatshirt, a black jacket with an unknown design on the front, dark colored pants, and black sneakers. They said he is estimated to be between 18 and 25 years old.

They said the second suspect is also described as male, has a medium build and light complexion, and is around 5 feet, 6 inches tall. They said he has black hair, was last seen wearing an “8 ball” jacket, a black balaclava with a Nike logo, a black sweatshirt, dark colored pants, and red shoes, and is estimated to be between 18 and 25 years old.

Prior to this incident occurring as of April 6, rates of shooting incidents and shooting victims in the 46th Precinct, where the shooting occurred, and which covers the Bronx neighborhoods of Fordham, University Heights, Morris Heights and Mt. Hope, were down.
