Fordham Heights: Man Sought for Attempted Rape

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying a man who they say is wanted in connection to an attempted rape that occurred in Fordham Heights.

 

Police said that on Friday, April 18, at around 1 p.m., in the vicinity of Creston Avenue and East 184th Street, an unidentified man approached a 70-year-old female victim from behind and attempted to rape her. They added, “The male individual fled on foot to parts unknown. There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.”

 

Police said the suspect is described as male, is around 6 feet tall, weighs around 165 pounds, has long, gray hair and was last seen wearing a white shirt.
