The NYPD announced on Saturday, March 22, that they have made four arrests in a murder investigation after a 32-year-old man was fatally shot in the Edenwald section of The Bronx on Thursday afternoon, March 20, close to the border with Wakefield.

The incident took place at around 4.05 p.m., police said, when officers from the 47th Precinct responded to a 911 call regarding a man who had been shot inside 1101 East 231st Street.
“Upon arrival, a 32-year-old male was discovered unconscious and unresponsive with gunshot wounds to the head and abdomen,” a police spokesperson said. “EMS responded and transported the aided male to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.”

Police said there are no initial arrests and the investigation remained ongoing. The deceased was identified as:
Xavier Goodson, 32, from Edenwald, The Bronx.
On Saturday, the NYPD announced that pursuant to an ongoing investigation, Jahiem Pasco, 22, of Williamsbridge, The Bronx, Jaire Drakes, 20, of Edenwald, The Bronx, Naesean Jackson, 20, of Bridgeport, CT, and Kelvin Woods, 20, of Kingsbridge Heights, The Bronx were arrested on Friday, March 21, in the confines of the 47th Precinct in The Bronx.

They were each charged with second-degree murder, first-degree manslaughter, and two counts each of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.
They are each presumed innocent unless and until convicted in a court of law.
