A woman was hospitalized after being shot in the Mt. Hope section of The Bronx on Saturday night, police said.
When contacted, an NYPD spokesperson said a 34-year-old woman was shot once in the right arm at 11.27 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, at the junction of Walton Avenue and East 177th Street.

The spokesperson said, “She was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital and is stable.” He added, “There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.”
Images posted to the Citizens’ App showed a street area cordoned off and detectives apparently carrying out a ballistics investigation.

We called the press office again later on Sunday afternoon to check if there were any updates and were informed that there is no perpetrator description available at this time.
