The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached photo who they say is wanted in connection to a robbery that occurred in University Heights.
Police said that on Friday, April 5, at around 8.50 a.m., inside a business located at 2441 Jerome Avenue, an unidentified person placed a victim in a chokehold and stole $1,000 from the cash register. They said the person then fled on foot northbound on Jerome Avenue to parts unknown. They said the victim refused medical attention.

Police said the person sought is described as male, has a dark complexion and slim build, and was last seen wearing blue pants, a green jacket, and a gray hooded sweater with a green face mask.
