A fire late Tuesday afternoon at a multi-family row house in Bedford Park left four people injured, one very seriously.
More than 60 fire fighters responded to a call about a fire at 2779 Marion Ave. shortly after 5:10 p.m. on Tuesday. According to the FDNY press office, the fire began in a second-floor apartment of the building and left one person with serious injuries and three people with minor injuries. They were transported to Jacobi Hospital.
The case is currently under investigation by FDNY fire marshals.
Today, a restoration crew was already starting to rebuild some of building, which was completely evacuated. It’s unclear what happened to the residents of the building.
According to BlockShopper.com, Avelino Yunen Jr. and Artetty Yunen are the owners of the building.
It is not clear whether they were injured during the fire or are residents of the building.
